Slipknot “Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)” CD

• Slipknot's 2004 third studio album.
• Produced by Rick Rubin.
• Includes 'Duality,' 'Before I Forget' and 'Vermilion.'

For fans of: Korn, Mudvayne, Stone Sour

Vol. 3 gives Slipknot's percussion-heavy attack a broader range of dynamics. Abrasive riffs and shouted vocals still drive the record, but acoustic textures and stronger melodic contrasts create new ways for the songs to build. Its best moments make the hooks feel like an extension of the tension rather than a release from it.
