Pink Floyd “Wish You Were Here” CD

• Pink Floyd's 1975 studio album.
• Includes 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond,' 'Welcome to the Machine' and the title track.
• Uses extended instrumental passages and acoustic songwriting to explore absence and alienation.

For fans of: King Crimson, Camel, The Alan Parsons Project

Wish You Were Here unfolds patiently, allowing guitar tones and keyboard textures to establish its mood before the songs fully emerge. The contrast between the intimate title track and the colder machinery around it gives the album its shape. Pink Floyd make every return to a familiar theme feel more poignant.
