Six years after their last studio album, BOOZE & GLORY are back - right where it all began: on the streets. With their new album "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot", the band uncompromisingly returns to their street punk roots.
For 15 years now, BOOZE & GLORY have stood for catchy choruses, unbridled energy and the authenticity of the street. Founded in London, UK as a classic Oi! / streetpunk band, they delivered hits with songs such as "London Skinhead Crew" and "Only Fools Get Caught", which were and still are successful far beyond the boundaries of the scene. BOOZE & GLORY have toured with bands such as DROPKICK MURPHYS and BAD RELIGION and played at festivals such as Punk Rock Holiday (Slovenia), Pol'And'Rock (Poland) and Punk Rock Bowling (Las Vegas).
After the 2019 album "Hurricane", which was released together with the guitarist from MILLENCOLIN and took the band musically into more melodic punk rock territory, "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" now strikes a much rougher tone again and thus returns to their roots. Singer Mark RSK sums it up: "The new album is the continuation of our EP 'Raising the Roof' from 2022 - but I can also hear some of 'As Bold As Brass' in it."
The first three singles "Boys Will Be Boys", "Brace Up" and "Mad World" underline exactly that: singalong anthems in the style of classic street punk bands like COCK SPARRER and THE BUSINESS - full of energy, infectious and made for sweaty club shows.
BOOZE & GLORY also have a breath of fresh air in terms of personnel: Manny Anzaldo (MAD SIN, RESUREX) on rhythm guitar and Herve JL (DEADLINE, ARGY BARGY, THE FILAMENTS) on bass are two new experienced musicians who add even more punch to the sound.
The recordings for "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" took place in three countries - Italy, Poland and Mexico. The album title is more than just a code: It stands for the question that runs like a red thread through the album - "What The F*** are we doing with this world?"
BOOZE & GLORY are back - with a powerful, honest street punk album that shakes things up, connects and stays in your head for a long time.
