Blur “The Best Of” CD

• Blur's 2000 singles collection.
• Includes "Song 2," "Beetlebum," "Girls & Boys" and "The Universal."
• Eighteen tracks trace the band's movement through Britpop, guitar noise and melodic experimentation.

For fans of: Pulp, Suede, Supergrass

The Best Of shows how many different musical settings Blur could inhabit while keeping a recognizable band identity. Bright pop arrangements sit beside abrasive guitar tracks and slower, more unsettled songs, with Damon Albarn's phrasing connecting them. Graham Coxon's instrumental details and the rhythm section's flexibility give the singles depth beyond their most immediately familiar melodic hooks.
