V/A “Dawn of the Dead (Library Cues)” (Green Zombie Marble vinyl) 3xLP

• This set collects the De Wolfe library music used in George A. Romero's 1978 U.S. theatrical cut.
• Selections include Herbert Chappell's The Gonk and The Pretty Things' Cause I'm a Man.
• The cues range from ominous suspense music to jaunty passages that sharpen the film's social satire.
• For fans of: De Wolfe library music, John Carpenter, and horror soundtracks.

Romero's original theatrical soundtrack draws on a wide variety of library recordings. These cues supply the familiar atmosphere of the zombie classic, moving between creeping tension, action, and the oddly cheerful sounds of the shopping mall.
