The Clash “London Calling” CD

• The Clash's 1979 studio album.
• Includes 'London Calling,' 'Train in Vain' and 'Rudie Can't Fail.'
• Nineteen songs connect punk with reggae, ska, rockabilly and soul influences.

For fans of: The Specials, The Jam, Rancid

London Calling makes its stylistic range feel natural through strong songs and a band playing closely together. The Clash shift from urgent guitar rock into reggae, ska and older pop forms without losing their sense of purpose. Joe Strummer and Mick Jones bring contrasting voices to a sequence that feels expansive, lively and remarkably consistent.
