System of a Down “System of a Down” CD

• System of a Down's debut album, released in 1998.
• Produced by Rick Rubin and System of a Down.
• Includes Sugar, Spiders, and War?.

For fans of: Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, and experimental alternative metal.

System of a Down's debut introduces a band already comfortable with extreme contrasts. Jagged guitar figures, elastic rhythms, and Serj Tankian's theatrical delivery keep the songs in constant motion. The writing can be abrasive, funny, and confrontational within a single track, giving the record a raw character distinct from the more streamlined approach of their later albums.
