Normal Isn't draws Puscifer's contrasting voices and electronic textures into a tense, rhythm-focused sound. Guitar and synthesizer colors move around tightly controlled percussion, giving the songs an atmosphere that can be cool, abrasive or darkly playful. The vocal interplay keeps the arrangements in motion, opening different angles on the record's anxious, confrontational view of its surroundings.
