Monkey Mind finds Pearl & the Oysters turning restless thoughts into warm, intricately arranged pop. Jonathan Rado's production gives the duo's melodies a grounded feel while preserving their taste for unusual textures and playful instrumental details. Beneath its sunny surface, the album makes room for anxiety, uncertainty, and the relief of making music together.
