Men I Trust “Oncle Jazz” CD

• 2019 album from the Montreal trio.
• Includes 'Show Me How,' 'Tailwhip' and 'Numb.'
• Blends soft vocals, rounded bass lines and hazy guitar textures.

For fans of: The Marías, Crumb, TOPS

Oncle Jazz takes its time, letting bass lines and small guitar figures settle around Emma Proulx's close, understated vocals. The atmosphere is dreamy, but the grooves keep everything moving. Men I Trust make a long album feel welcoming through patient pacing, carefully shaded electronics and melodies that linger after the track ends.
