Celebrating 50 Years of MC5 – Recorded Live in Concert
Emerging from the gritty streets of Detroit in the late ’60s, MC5 revolutionized rock’n’roll with their blistering fusion of garage rock, blues, soul, free jazz, and proto-punk. Infamous for incendiary live performances and a radical left-wing stance, they challenged societal norms with anthems like “American Ruse” and “Ramblin’ Rose,” inspiring countless musicians from The Ramones and Rage Against The Machine to The White Stripes and Slash.
In 2018, Wayne Kramer – guitarist, founding member and driving force behind MC5 – launched the MC50 Tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kick Out the Jams. Joined by an all-star line-up including Kim Thayil (Soundgarden), Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Billy Gould (Faith No More) and Marcus Durant (Zen Guerrilla), MC50 brought the uncompromising spirit of MC5 back to the stage for a new generation of fans.
10 MORE captures the explosive live power of MC50, recorded during the anniversary tour. This set features 10 MC5 classics performed with raw urgency, including fan favorites. A must-have for fans of MC5, garage rock, punk, and live albums that make the walls shake.
