Mazzy Star “Among My Swan” CD

For fans of: Slowdive, Cowboy Junkies, Galaxie 500

Among My Swan draws its power from space: a softly strummed guitar, an organ hovering in the background and Hope Sandoval's voice moving through the middle. Mazzy Star let each song unfold without hurry. The record's folk and blues undercurrents give its dreamlike surface a sturdy, quietly aching foundation.
