2020 posthumous album envisioned as a companion to Swimming.
Completed by producer Jon Brion with Miller's family's support.
Includes Good News, Blue World, and the title track.
For fans of: Swimming, Frank Ocean, and reflective soul-informed songwriting.
Circles foregrounds Mac Miller's singing and melodic instinct in arrangements that draw on soul, soft rock, and understated electronic production. Jon Brion's finishing work preserves the music's unforced, searching quality. The songs often feel like private thoughts taking shape in real time, with small changes in harmony and instrumentation carrying a great deal of emotional weight.
