John Lennon “Walls and Bridges” (SHM-CD) CD

• Japanese SHM-CD edition of John Lennon's 1974 album.
• Includes "Whatever Gets You Thru the Night," "#9 Dream" and "Going Down on Love."
• Rhythm-driven pop songs alternate with layered, more reflective arrangements.

For fans of: Harry Nilsson, George Harrison, Elton John

Walls and Bridges places some of Lennon's most rhythmically buoyant writing alongside songs with a more inward, suspended atmosphere. Horns, keyboards and layered vocals widen the sound without removing the personality of his phrasing. The changes in texture give the album its emotional variety, balancing outward energy with moments that feel private, uncertain and carefully observed.
