Formed in 2000 by duo Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga, Have A Nice Life self-released demos and home recordings throughout the 00s, culminating with the 2008 debut Deathconsciousness - a post-internet cult classic synthesizing bleak post-punk, lo-fi shoegaze, and hypnotic drone. Over time, fans compiled shared demos and outtakes into an unofficial release dubbed Voids, featuring alternate takes from Deathconsciousness and early versions of songs from The Unnatural World and Sea of Worry.

Fan-made tape pressings via Music Ruins Lives (run by Planning for Burial's Thom Wasluck) sold out instantly, making Voids historically elusive - only available in obscure corners of the internet or on the secondary market at eye-watering prices. Over a decade since its initial unofficial release in 2011, The Flenser proudly presents the first-ever official physical reissue, freshly remastered. This release also marks the first time fan-favorites "Sisyphus", "I'm Doctor House", and "Human Error" will be available on vinyl.
