Fugazi "First Demo" LP

• Eleven songs from Fugazi’s January 1988 session at Inner Ear Studios, recorded after only ten shows.
• Features early versions of “Waiting Room,” “Merchandise,” “Furniture,” and “Badmouth.”
• Includes “Turn Off Your Guns,” the session track left off the original cassette distributed at shows.

For fans of: Embrace, Rites of Spring, The Faith

First Demo catches Fugazi before the songs reached their familiar recorded forms. Joe Lally’s bass already anchors the grooves, Brendan Canty drives the stops and starts, and Ian MacKaye and Guy Picciotto begin shaping their vocal interplay. The performances feel loose, immediate, and full of ideas. A revealing listen for anyone who knows the later versions by heart.
