The Colour and the Shape gives Foo Fighters' melodies a muscular, full-band setting without losing their emotional directness. Quiet passages build into forceful choruses, and the guitar layers remain clear even at their densest. This expanded edition adds six tracks, extending a record whose mix of vulnerability and physical energy remains its defining strength.
