• Piano-centered songwriting, supple rhythms and a deeply expressive vocal presence.

Tidal announces Fiona Apple's voice as both an instrument and a point of view. Her phrasing can sit behind the beat, press against it or suddenly open into a sustained melodic line, while piano and rhythm section provide a flexible frame. The songs turn difficult feelings into precise scenes, balancing youthful intensity with unusual musical poise.
