Ellison "Ellison" LP

• The Montréal band's only album captures an early-1970s mix of hard rock, heavy blues, and psychedelia.
• Rough-edged guitar tones and forceful vocals preserve the intensity of the group's live approach.
• Includes "Unchanged World," "Satanic," "Strawberry Rain," and "Freedom."

For fans of: Elias Hulk, early Black Sabbath, and raw heavy blues.

Ellison emerged from Québec's late-1960s underground and left behind a single album with a lasting cult reputation. The music is direct and physical, built from heavy guitar riffs, blues-rooted playing, and vocals that push hard against the band. Its raw sound gives the songs an immediacy that suits their unpolished force.

Psychedelic touches widen the arrangements without softening the attack. Guerssen's reissue returns this Canadian heavy-rock document to circulation with remastered sound and historical notes. It is a rewarding find for listeners who favor the rougher edges of early hard rock and records that retain the character of a working underground band.
