• Produced by James Ford and Mike Crossey.

For fans of: The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party

Favourite Worst Nightmare sharpens Arctic Monkeys' rhythmic attack while making room for moodier, more expansive songs. Matt Helders' drumming and the band's interlocking guitars keep the fast passages taut, while Alex Turner's writing finds telling details in uneasy encounters. The record's final stretch reveals how much atmosphere sits beneath all that forward motion.
