Cline's guitar, Gray's bass, and the combined percussion of Corsano and Kotche build shifting masses of sound, ranging from forceful collective surges to quieter, suspended passages.

The seventeen-minute "Uh Oh" sets out the quartet's broad canvas, followed by three pieces that continue its fluid movement through noise, rhythm, and atmosphere. Each player contributes to an ensemble language that leaves plenty of room for surprise. It is an absorbing record for listeners who enjoy improvisation at its most open and exploratory.

Listen: Saccata Quartet: Septendecim listening sample

UPC - 4062548090086
