Billy Bond and company keep the music playful and rough-edged, letting heavy guitar work sit alongside swaggering rhythms and a distinctly Argentine sense of humor. The performances carry the unruly energy that made the group central to its scene.

The band's adaptation of "La Marcha de San Lorenzo" brought government censorship, underscoring the record's willingness to provoke. Beat Generation's licensed reissue, developed in cooperation with Argentina's INAMU, restores an important chapter of the Music Hall catalog in a gatefold package with historical notes and photographs.

Listen: Billy Bond & La Pesada del Rock & Roll: Vol. 2 listening sample

UPC - 8435008877675
